Prior to their separation, anonymous reports to DeuxMoi claimed that both Jeremy Allen White and Addison Timlin were cheating on each other. The first of the reports suggested that Timlin cheated on Allen White with a director she had been introduced to by her famous best friend. While no names were used, many on Reddit claimed that this was Timlin and the friend in question was Dakota Johnson. As for the man she cheated with, Reddit sleuths believe him to be actor/writer/director Cooper Raiff. Johnson and Raiff worked together on the film Cha Cha Real Smooth. However, no persons involved confirmed this information. Therefore, we cannot claim that any of it was accurate.

Not long afterward, Allen White was the target of another anonymous blind item. According to Duex Moi, the item suggested that "Brooklyn's hottest dad" had an affair with his personal assistant while working on The Bear. This would have occurred during Allen White's marriage to Addison Timlin.

Timelines from various sources put both of these cheating rumors squarely during their marriage. As well as before Allen White and Timlin famously pretended to still be together despite having been separated in September 2022, as per her spousal support court documents. Timlin and Allen White kept up appearances and even publicly praised each other for months until their separation was formally filed in May 2023.

At this time, it is unknown what actually caused their separation. However, a source told ET that they were having "trust issues". This would certainly play into the hands of the cheating rumors they both faced.

Not long after, Jeremy Allen White and Addison Timlin were both cast in the 2008 Indie Film, Afterschool. They became fast friends but also had romantic and sexual chemistry.
